As the summer comes to a close the MVAL Boy's Basketball Season is now beginning. If you are interested in joining our leaque please contact your nearest Catholic Church and ask for information about the CYO Boy's basketball program and they should be able to get you in contact with the Parish's Boy's Basketball Athletic Director.

As the summer comes to a close the MVAL Boy's Basketball Season is now beginning. If you are interested in joining our leaque please contact your nearest Catholic Church and ask for information about the CYO Boy's basketball program and they should be able to get you in contact with the Parish's Boy's Basketball Athletic Director. The Parishs' that are in our league are listed on our Home page.

The league practices start around September and our first games start the first week of November. We play until the end of January with playoffs the first part of February. Each Parish program sets their own practice schedules. Each team plays 10 games within their grade level.

CYO Boy's Basketball program is for boys & girls starting in 3rd grade and ending in 8th grade. We use modifed High School basketball rules. We have an all play rule. Each player is required to play a minimum of 1 full quarter in each.

CYO offers a Girls Basketball program that starts sometime in January. If a girl plays in the boy's program she cannot play in the girl's program of the same season. She will have to wait 1 year before she can play in the girl's basketball league. So if a girl plays the 2009-10 boy's season she cannot play in the 2010 girls season. She will have to wait and play in the 2011 season and not play in the 2010-11 boy's season.
